Cotton farming will soon begin; this method of seed treatment

The second-largest cotton grower in the world is India. It is primarily grown in Punjab and Haryana. Since it is a cash crop, producers place great importance on it. Cotton is manufactured of cotton, which is why it is often referred to as "white gold." It is a raw material used in the textile sector. This crop is profitable for the farmers because there is a growing market demand for it. Knowing a few things can help ensure that cotton produces more effectively now that it is set to be planted. Treatment Of Seeds
Because the quality and production of any crop depend on the seed itself, care of cotton seeds is crucial. Let's find out how to handle cotton seeds.
- To get rid of the pink bollards buried in the seed, it should be fumigated. Put one aluminium phosphide tablet in the seed to do this. Keep it closed by making it windproof for 24 hours so that the seeds pink nectars are destroyed.
- If you can't fumigate the seeds, spread them out in a thin layer in direct sunshine and let them sit there for 5 to 6 hours to dry.
- In a clay or plastic container, place 10 kg of seeds. Add around 1 litre of strong sulfuric acid from a grocery store. When the seeds turn black, stir it with a stick for a further one to two minutes before washing it under running water. Sort the floating seeds by size. The seeds treated with sulfuric acid have good germination in this manner.
- Prepare a solution of 1 gram streptocycline in approximately 10 litres of water to guard the crop against seed-borne illness. 1 kg of seeds should soak there for 8 to 10 hours. The seeds should then be thoroughly dried before sowing.
- If root rot is on the rise, only plant 1 kg of seed after treating it with 2 gm of carbendazim or 6 gm of trichoderma.
- If you are growing cotton in a location without access to irrigation, you should treat the seed as necessary using an Ejectobacter culture. As a result, the crop's yield will rise.
